Born Brewing Co. was in need of a brand refresh after previously being known as Born Colorado Brewing — they wanted a visual overhaul along with their new name to make it clear they are local to Calgary, Alberta, and proud of it.

The brand was centered around the outdoor lifestyle that the owners embraced, and the cans were designed to be companions to one's greatest adventures, pairing perfectly with the stories told at the top of a challenging peak or under a tent in a thunderstorm. The visual design was based on vintage travel posters and screen-printed matchbooks. The illustrations on the cans served as immersive depictions of the stories they told, inspired by community submissions.
